I'm heading to Phuket in November and hoping to get reacquainted with the sport. I plan on getting a couple of lessons and then hire some good rigs to help decide which board and rig to buy when I get home. I'm having trouble finding a sailboarding school where I can improve on modern gear. Most of the shops and schools focus on winging and kiting. Does anyone know where I might find what I need in south Phuket? Sunny Coast board sports have recommended a JP magic ride 149 with NP speedster 7.2 camless sail. I weigh 100kg and learnt the basics in Boracay a couple of years ago. Please share your thoughts on this rig, given my limited experience. I really wanted to hire something similar in Phuket to get an idea before I commit to purchasing. Your collective knowledge and experience would be most welcome.
