Best thing to use in a spud gun type cannon is oranges or lemons that are a tiny bit too big to fit.

Freeze them..... and just before use dip them in hot water so the outer 5mm or so is mooshy. Then ram them in.

The mooshy bit seals in the tube for better velocity and the frozen core will go thru cars doors etc.


Your mileage may vary according to commonsense. You did not hear it from me.

No you tool
Coke bottle rockets are made by filling a coke bottle with about 1/3 water, drilling a hole in the lid that will take a football valve and pumping as much pressure as possible into the bottle.
Then you let it go, the water pumps out of the hole and the bottle flies a coupla hundred feet into the air (depending how much pressure you can pump).

fun, fun, fun.

Or for the more pyro amongst us.... 3ft length of bore casing, 2tbsp black powder and a beer can full of concrete as a projectile. Google beer can mortars and u'll see some fun......

My brother worked nightshift in a never to be named quarry in the local hills
they built a ramp (V2 rocket style) and used to use a full blown compressor. could fire the things out of site
Being at night, they would fill the things with Kero and have a lit oxy torch at the end of the ramp. As the rocket went past it would catch the kero vapour trail on fire and send this "shooting star" into the night sky.
Visually impressive, but would have been a disaster if they had landed in the bush before the fuel was spent.
Never happened luckily. Things you do when your bored.
