I`m on the count down now to Maui only a couple of weeks to go and getting excited especially after watching that.
h20 a couple of years ago we checked how high the North Shore Road cliff face was, only a guess (20 -50 feet) and chatted with locals; telling us how the monster waves actually blow across the road and the wind helps the spray send it further up the Mt. slopes. Tried to imagine it (wondered if he was pulling my leg a bit) but after this I`m a believer That must have been very a sureal/hummbling experience for you.
