most of the time we haven't had a stomach's fill when sailing so when breaktime comes, it's whatever the local canteen has stocked so do my mates eat a bunch-chocolates, candies just about anything edible that's crunchy i.e.junk food.. and get that energy meter up and get the 2nd wind..so do the local vendors who happen to passby with hacked coconut meat and juice, coconut meat fried with deep brown sugar, sticky rolled rice with sugar, chicharon(chee-cha-ron) or pork rind, hardboiled eggs, melons, watermelons.. that's i think as simple as it gets

Not many beaches in Australia have a cafe or food vendor nearby.

In more urban locations a Mr Whippy van might come around and sell you some icecream. In more rural locations you are on your own.

So why not pack an esky( is it esky or icebox?) full of food and drink.

Pork rinds..... Mmmm pork.

Not exactly sure what this thread is about, but I usually bring a soft esky with about 2+ litres of water/fluids/red cordial HAHA, like 2 pieces of fruit, and some muesli bars, and usually some lollies, starburst gummy jumble is awesome :D. Throw in an ice-pack as well, and it stays icy cold all day.
