I was driving past an op shop the other day and saw this boom in the window. It was just the right size and shape to fill a gap in my quiver so I bought it.
It is in good condition except the brand has been almost rubbed off and is hard to read.
It does have a back end but I took it out to clean it.
Can anyone tell me what brand the boom is?

It is from the same factory as the earlier KA alloy booms, the Sunshine Booms and a number of other accessory brands. Good booms with my favourite front end. Reasonably stiff but subject to corrosion like all Aluminium booms. But if not left drowned in salt water they last a few years. I try to retire them after two years. Cheap enough to just chuck and replace every couple of years for peace of mind. Can do that 6-8 times and still cost less than any carbon boom. Best to use only for sails with boom length under around 200cm. For longer, carbon stiffness is noticeable. That length will suit your smallest sails well.

I have one already. Actually the one in the photo could be it. That looks like my North boom and my dining room floor.
I just need some stainless rivets. Any tips on attaching it? The current end has only one rivet.

Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Salt Water are not compatible. Maybe why a lot of Ali Booms fail ?

Yacht chandlers may have Monel otherwise Ali. Try and find someone with an Air Rivet Gun to attach. ( Aluminium Window/ Security Door fabricators ).

To avoid electrolysis between alloy and stainless rivets get hold of a product called Duralak, I use it on my hobie cat, you just coat both surfaces and the corrosion won't happen.

If I spent that much on a boom I would do a lot more research before putting a pop rivet in.
