hey anyone more intelligent than me, how do you put a link into a forum post? (the magic little address in blue that you click on and it magically transports you somewhere else) thanks

If you copy the address from your browser and paste it into the page the damn thing just understands and it works.
The little icon of the earth and chain that says "insert hyperlink" does it somehow as well but for me the copy and paste has worked a treat.

What size sail did you have up? You could just about stick your arms out with no sail and get planing in that!!

yeah that was some decent wind! But those reading are taken up on a hill, and we usually knock a few knots off to get a more realistic picture of what's at sea level.
I was on a 5.3, due to putting my head through my 4.7 last week! was nicely overpowered, until when it jumped up to 40 knots on the readings, then i was just blown out of the water. was wrecked by then anyway. gotta get another 4.something

Sounds HUGE Easty, Just got back from a weekend at SP, and didnt have a bad day today! 20 - 25 kn gusting to 30 i reckon in the squalls and the speed strip was open for buisness. Although there was a little to much south in it, i think some good times were posted by the guns..>40kn
Rigged the 5.3 also on the cross and my smallest fin ( 12"w/cup slalom ) and squeezed everthing out of the gear i could possibly manage. Peak speed for the day a 31.8 kn with a 10 sec average of 29.7 kn, A pb for me. Pretty happy with that for the fact that i did'nt break anything ( me or gear! ) and it was the first time on the water for a whole year! Can feel some dedicated speed gear coming on......!!!mmmmmm.
