Yeah windsurfing is the in thing because I am back into it.
I learned how to windsurf in 1984, kept going to 86. They were the heydays. Even a little place like Nambucca Heads had around 20 of us sailing in the river.
Then got back into it in 1992 and kept going till 1997. Those years were good, mainly because I was young and fit, plus I moved to Wollongong. As the song says, "I've been everywhere. I've been to Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong Wollongong"
2007 was the year I started sailing again regularly again. Its great and the new style boards are so easy to use. Living in Sydney, where the windsurfing is a bit ordinary compared to the splendor of Wollongong and surrounds.
I will probably get a few new recruits too. My wife wants to try it out and so does my neigbour. If we get some sort of big wide board then I think I can probably get a few friends to try too. Its something I have not done before, mainly because I never had friends before
