Hi md74,

I'll be at narrowneck on Thursday at 2pm (or slightly later, I'm terrible at navigation).
Hopefully this southerly will just build and build... might even dust off my 84l waveboard if it's really honking!! Haven't ever had a chance to use it yet

allright nebbian thats another one!

you know where it is right? along the esplanade north of surfers, its where the Indy track has the chicane section right near the beach, there are 2 car parks, one at the northern end, apparently the kiters use that, so we will take the southern. if you are hitting the train tmrw (wed) come and intro yourself, ill be there

not a true pilgrimage, as our forefathers have once trodden foot upon these sacred grounds, and we are simply returning! so the kiters know, we are not coming to steal your ground, im sure there is room for us all, geez im now hoping the surf is not going to be crazy big on thursday, otherwise Ill be retreating to the security blanket of the train!

Gestalt. At Currumbin we rig at the Alley on the Traffic Island between the road and carpark (closest to the point). Then to launch either the beach or the Alley depending on conditions. When it's big and crunchy beach side i like to poke out the Alley. When the wind is too south we play on the beach side of the point.

Yep. The small patch of green between Wallace Nichol Park and Currumbin Rock. I did not even know where Wallace Nichol Park was. Had to get the street directory even though i have been rigging in the area for 15 years. But i tend to focus on the ocean when I'm there. If this wind kicks just a drop more, i'll be there today and tomorrow. I'm easy to find. Black wagon and North sails.

3 Metre Currumbin. 25 to 30 knots. Hope it happens. Just got to paste on the sunscreen. Can't go to the office on Friday with a bad case of sunburn. High bloodpressure is not an excuse i can use. If any one needs me, I'll be gettin high at the alley.

don't you see it! It's a conspiracy to get you lot out into the waves and break all your equipment, and then the kites can take over the train.....bwa ha ha ha ha [}:)] laughing with little pinkie at side o mouth

or at least so u got to buy new gear.......bwa ha ha ha ha [}:)] still laughing with little pinkie at side o mouth

actually i was certain I saw a skinny assed bald cat that looked a lot like Mr Bigglesworth in the back of that commy wagon today??

so whats the call on tmrw, if the swell is huge Im guessing its back to the train until we get a little bit tamer surf? yes or no?

What's This.
Greenleader and Tobes going wavesailing? Love to see that. Greenleader, I'll drop in some entries for the Tabou. Now you could be a "Wave" sailor again.

another good spot to sail in a north-easterly is at Main beach out the front of the Mirage resort. You can rig up next to the swimming pool car park and sail right out the front. There is quite a bit of room for error as there are not many swimmers and the next set of flags are a couple of hundred meters down the beach at Southport Surf club. Its a good place to get amongst it.

I stashed some entry forms into the Pamphlet rack at Surf FX. Eliminated sailors get to try the Surf Slalom "Dash For cash". Oh, and very cheap beer for competitors on Saturday Night at Currumbin Surf Club. Go Greenleader, I reckon Michael should enter too. Will be good for his fitness. All that swimming and all.
