all in all was a good day, great to see the coast guys visit also. Should have stayed on the wave gear, wind was wrong angle for the bank and I found some of the best ramps of the day coming back- made for a bit of a hair-raising trip.

yeah mate, i arrived at the train at 3pm to find the car park emptying quickly and a couple of guys swimming the gear back in.

the wind was gusting from calm-10 kn with occasional swirls from all directions at 20 kn.

wind was SW-s-SE was very very crappy. never again will i go to the train in a southerly.

vando was right!

long live VP!

Haircut and I sailed Shearwater but the wind was erratic
Toots was also there and spent all arvo rigging one step behind the wind changes
However any wind is better than calm

green was honking. sailed all day from about 9.45.

great jumping day with 1-3 foot ramps to launch off at full speed and power.

left my gear there rigged and ready for tomorow.

my mate broke his mast way out on the edge of the reef. what a mission with the strong current and constant barrage of waves shallow water and sharp coral.

not to mention the boat ride over probably one of the roughest i've been on. lots and lots of vomit. got some footage and pics i'll post.

Manly was great Gestalt, better than VP the day before. Wind did drop out around 4 but it was great up until then.

...yes, will be looking forward to another VP session. I liked the inside and the super bank outside later. Fancy seeing Russel Crowe out there blitzing (and launching from a sectet location - thats show biz for you) ...don't think I would want to get in the way of the fast dudes though.

No, I didn't sail Sunday as i was still making my in through the mud at VP from the day before. Mate, we don't get mud like that home at Ukrain!!

Awesome work Haircut,

Strange feeling watching yourself from someone else's perspective

For those who don't know the who's who:
(in order of appearance, apologies to those I can't identify)
Chairman: Yellow Pryde Search(?)
Nebbian: Yellow/orange pryde, yellow board
Gestalt: Blue KA sail
Haircut: Orange and red North Voodoo, doing all manner of loops, vulcans etc.
Mkseven: blue shirt, AUS357 (I think!)
Unknown: Orange/purple older sail
Unknown: Clear sail with red clew (is this Pierre?)

Pity you couldn't get some footage of the speed run, watching Vando and pierre would be amazing

ta Brendan. It's the stabilser that fixed it but it gives it that heat haze appearence where it moves the footage back into centre, but the footage is unwatchable without it.

Yes, the bank would have given some goot footage. Once i get the lipstick cam we'll get some footage from over there hey!

sooooo....where we all sailing tomorrow?

Yeah i'm aus357 white/black/grey KA, and later silver/blue sail trying not to crash into you at the bank.

Pierre is on new stealth red/silver/gold, guess it could be who you mean basically the only slalom sail in the vid.

Tomorrow back to wello if I sail.

I had fun at manly in the southerly with the big chop. Chairman / DaVecta / Nebs, you interested in a sail there tomorrow, especially with the high tide at mid day? Anyone from brizzy going to manly?
