Either Kingscliff or Shearwater for me, Manly's too far...

Checked out Kingscliff / Cudgen reef today, got a bit scared watching 2m faces dump on the bar in 3 knots of wind

wasn't to bad. still had some 20knot stuff coming through. problem was the tide. still had some fun off the main beach. took out the new proto machine with a 6.4 Kult. nothing to write home about. prety slow actually.

cheers haircut and chairman. the vid is superb! i've watched it over and over again. that last forward of yours haircut was massive. it's great to watch everyone in the vid. like nebbian i've never seen myself on video before. was a laugh.

Strange feeling watching yourself from someone else's perspective

For those who don't know the who's who:
(in order of appearance, apologies to those I can't identify)
Chairman: Yellow Pryde Search(?)
Nebbian: Yellow/orange pryde, yellow board
Gestalt: Blue KA sail
Haircut: Orange and red North Voodoo, doing all manner of loops, vulcans etc.
Mkseven: blue shirt, AUS357 (I think!)
Unknown: Orange/purple older sail
Unknown: Clear sail with red clew (is this Pierre?)

Pity you couldn't get some footage of the speed run, watching Vando and pierre would be amazing

what about Da Vecta? what sail was he on.
plus who was the guy that tried the back loop?

Mkseven: blue shirt, AUS357 (I think!) white KA
Unknown: Orange/purple older sail local guy.
Unknown: Clear sail with red clew (is this Pierre?) Yep.

Dunno how you young kids keep it up. I'm well and truly roo*ed. I'll have to get onto some of those sports recovery drugs. Don't your hands hurt?
Anyone got any tips about sports recovery aids?

Went out at the old stomping ground...

7m racing 6-cammed sail
13-18 knots
20 seconds between gybes waterstarts
Wrists and arms told me enough was enough after an hour. I'm not using that sail again unless I get at least a minute per tack.

Will this southerly system never end?
