dutchies was good today..but how was it down in Mandurah? Hardie used to bang about it all the time before, at least you had an idea if it was worth the drive or not, but seems that he disappeared from the forum?

Gidday Lesk,

Twas pretty crap down here Waves were choppy, wind 5 knots to 35 knots, all over the place. There were times when it was consistent and some were out, but waves didn't look that good. The Dawesville Cut was spewing out brown water and the tide brought it right in over the reef breaks.

I didn't bother go out, getting spoilt in my old age, after sailing Corro's on good days Mandurah seems like crap by comparison.

However, have been sailing a few different breaks down here which aren't so crowded which has been fun, obviously I'm not going to advertise here, but to my friends for a small fee I will disclose

Except on those exceptional days, which in the last 2 years I have lived here, has been about 5 to 7 a year, It's not really worth coming down. The best days are a direct Southerly breeze with no West wind, and a very big clean swell coming from a direct westerly direction, the two only converge about 5 to 7 times a year, and that's when Dutchies really rocks and so does every other break.

the exceptionnal days!!! yes yes
Thanxs for the feedback. Good to hear you're still around as your averaged post per week drop so much than one minute I thought you started some new hobby.. like painting everything in yellow to finish the left over from your board or something.
I'll pay my fee next exceptionnal day...

G'day Leski,
Methinks Mr Hardman is going into denial a bit here

It wasn't the conditions and all the rest, no no no

The real reason why he didn't venture out was that he had to work

I did get out after 5 with one other guy from up your way, Twas a bit gusty but rideable sets were conservatively over head with some nice rides when you got a clean one.

Waves were breaking along reef line and across the gap.

Sailed til around 6.30

I know you didn't go out but how was the tide on the estuary side. Was it sailable or too low? I imagine kite beach would have been almost completely exposed.. so I didn't even go to look .. was this the case?

My sentiments with ya Hardie. I went out down my way and it the same as you said for your patch. Gusty, a 5 knot current and Safety bay style weed all made it hard work. After spending two weeks away in Gero, Greenhead and others it all seems too hard down here.
I seriously think Huey has got his wires crossed somewhere, cause we seem to be getting anything from February to June weather
Hope he gets back on track soon
