I came home to 3 horses, nag ,nag ,nag .

my excuse for today was ,

I ran out of petrol for the mower and had to go in town for some .
And just forgot i had the windsurfing trailer hooked on ,and couldn't be bothered un-hooking it off the ute .

When someone wants me to work for them and the forecast looks good that day, I usually say I have some appointments that day and can't work for you. My appointments are with my windsurfer and I, but I keep that part to myself

Last month I said, "My dad is having knee surgery and need to be their to help him out for the next few days. Had some great days on the water then. Hehe!

You need know excuses if you continually reinforce the notion that it's.....
''an investment in my health''
This works also for all the money spent on gear...... "investment in my health"

Using older gear clearly is a health risk.

I remember reading a story about a single guy who invented a family so he could get time off work with ease when he wanted it. Imagine all of the potential for time off work with that.

My wife is one step ahead of me. She encourages me to go sailing so that there are no complaints about her and my daughter's equestrian pursuits

Encouraging my wife's equestrian passion is a strategy I also use

I'd heard it was originally the "Fremantle docker" because it was the ideal wind to dock a sailing ship in Fremantle harbour.
What is the footy team named after if not a wind?

They're known as either "Board Meetings" or "Sails Sales Meetings".

I once phoned my uni supervisor and told him I wasn't well and needed and extension on an assignment. He agreed, I hung up and was on the water 20 minutes later. It was 35 years ago and I still feel a bit bad.

Ian, read the following. If it's true, it was all a lie. A conspiracy even. We have been mislead!
