More 5 metre swell on monday and tuesday?? Looks like nature might be moulding us a new beach for the goldcoast. I wonder if the end result will be waves that actually break more than 20 metres off the beach, just in time for summer?

i noticed that the strip of beach between elepahant and the alley is less steep than it used to be, and the waves were breaking further out

what a lovely dream

Hi Kaos. If you want cleaner water next westerly. Try Rainbow Bay? It would have been the pick yesterday. I sailed at Kirra, maxing out on a 4.7 before we went around to rainbow. The wind stopped about lunchtime.(kind of weird, but the glassy arvo was good for a surf) But before that there was a nice wave and awesome wind. It is my new westerly wavesailing spot.

Sunday was a crazy day wasn't it?! I'm blown away at how constant a westerly can be at wello, and for it to blow relentlessly all day like that. I think if I had sailed for much more beyond 3 pm, my arms would have been a few inches longer.

My poor emergency 4 metre ezz-wave sail looks like flywire. After sunday I think it's got more holes in it than tri stop. It has only one more 40 knot day left in it.

I've forgotten what it's like to need people standing on your gear while you rig up so it doesn't blow away

Wasn't this arvo a blast too. How lucky are we to have so many great days in the middle of winter!

Cheers JJ

If you mean Monday afternoon, we sailed at shearwater. Lots of westerlies of late but they have been very consistent. Monday turned to the south.

Cheers
