Found this link on a Speed Sailing Blog.
www.speedsurfingblog.com/2010/01/how-to-do-basic-tuning.html
It is a bit old (2010) but wondering if still relevant for current board shapes (Slalom/ Free Race, not just speed boards) and sails.

I honestly don't know, but I am going to suss out my rig tomorrow and see what it looks like using those formulas. The only thing I know I do differently is the harness lines - I used the Guy Cribbs formula - harness lines only a hand's width apart and the rear harness line is at 33% back. Thanks for posting the blog, it will be interesting to see how everyone compares.

The tips on the blog are a good guideline to get started. The speedscene overhere is quite big with many riders on different brands. Also take a look at the next vid. Gives you an impression on how the top Dutch speeders tune their sails. You might notice that riders with the same brand tune their sails differently. Has to do with, style, boards used, fins used, etc..
