Just came back to the house for a cuppa and a sandwich. It's the best day we have had this year by a LOOOONG way.

Blowing wsw and 25-30 with the odd period in the low 30's. Very even wind. Not gusty at all.

Mal has some 45's and a 46. (peaks)
Spotty had a whole bunch of high 44's (that was the photo) on his 6.6m 07 Koncept!!!!
Mat could have a 30's NM which is a very brave effort!
Kato is like a machine. The Energiser bunny just goes and goes........
I only have a couple of high 42's so I am feeling a bit left out so far. High tide at the mo so it should get better later if the wind holds up which it should by the forecasts.

Sounds like you Pit guys have had a great year for sailing.

My calculator can't even get those high numbers you speak about - congrats. Looking forward to the GTC postings.

It should be a big list of numbers tonight - I got to Inverloch and had a good sail this morning on the short speed strip. Since then there have definitely been periods of stronger wind - Perhaps the late session on the lowering tide will load up the 2009 rankings on GPSSS. It is a happy new year!!

Luckily i was there for an hour or so to watch some of the big runs, including Spotty making a NM attempt @ warp speed. Awesome.

But most awesome of all was young Andrew Daff lending me a mast so I could get out there and have a bit of the fun (I snapped my only 400 two days before). Thanks sailquick - its one of the great things about our sport that people are so ready and willing to help out; particularly when they can see someone gazing at the wind and drooling!

Thanks again Andrew, and well done guys; amazing stuff.
