I'm getting an error message trying to format my 2gB SD card in a GT-31:
"Fail"
"[-32768.eeh]"
"[S:0]"

Has anyone else experienced this and have a remedy for me?

I'm running firmware version V1.4(B0803T).

Nope! FAT32 is not recognised.

Format as FAT16 on your computer.

But if the FT-31 will not format the card, it might be a faulty card.

For the benefit of other readers/users, remember: It will also not work with an SD card larger than 2GB

FAT32 didn't work.

FAT16 is not one of the options on my PC. It lists:
1. FAT (default)
2. NTFS
3. FAT32
4. exFAT

Probably FAT is Fat16, Sailquick must be right , I must have a bad memory. In my case the GT31 could not format the card, but after I formatted it on my pc it worked perfectly in gt-31, that happened 3 years ago and it is still going.

I have two gt31's, one will allow me to use an sd cards that gas been formatted on my PC, and the other wont (same "fail" message like you). My mate suggested trying to use the card format facility in the gt31, I did and it worked a treat, problem solved.

Power your gt31 up, wait till "card found message"

on main screen, go to "memory card"

go to "log switch" turn off

go to "format card"

go to "log switch on"

hopefully, this will work for you ??
