Hi All

I have just bought a Timex Global Trainer GPS watch I have just started using to check my speed. It gives the results in a WKO file. Is this file type ok and what is the usual file type everyone has for these results?

You should be able to export your file as a GPX, which you can then upload to www.ka72.com/ -- this should get you started.

Google earth also excepts gpx files, so you can see your tracks superimposed on google earth.

If you can't persuade your device to do .gpx, try gpsbabel.

www.gpsbabel.org/

There's a good chance it can convert it for you.

All good, thanks. I figured out how to convert it to a .gpx file using the WKO+ program and I sent it to the website you said, decrepit.
When I registered, it said I can log on when a team accepts me. Just got to wait for that now, I guess.

Thanks

woops, ka72 shouldn't need you to be a member of a team.
The site is linked to the GTC, but I'm fairly sure it will give you an output if you aren't a team member. Perhaps you tried to do a GTC link without realising it?

If you want to join a team, your device may be a problem, I'm not sure if it falls into the approved category.

From the challenge site,

The following GPS's are considered valid for the purposes of the challenge (most preferable at the top, least preferable at the bottom):

* NAVI GT-35 (uses 0.2 sec recording intervals which is approved for this Challenge)
* NAVI GT-31 (uses 1 sec recording intervals)
* NAVI GT-11 (uses 1 sec recording intervals)
* Garmin Foretrex Series
* Garmin Gecko Series
* Garmin Edge (1 second setting)
* Garmin Legend Cx (1 second setting),

Other GPS units can be approved by the technical advisers of the challenge. All software should be set to "Doppler if available" for all categories.

This device seems to output at 2s intervals by default. Not sure if it can be changed.

No membership required at ka72.com. Must be trying to post the times to gpstc.

Cheers,

Dylan.
