Dennis Littel has just posted a 32.5knot 5x10 and a 34.4Knot 2sec on a Formula Board with a 68 cm fin.

Trying to go really fast on formula kit is right up there is the scary stakes with hitting the whoops at the end of the Sandy Pt run. Gets you're heart going big time.

These guys are tall and nearly 100kg, guess this would help to keep such big gear in control. Top effort anyhow!!

So in general, what speeds are 'average' for a formula kit? And what windspeeds are we talking?

average peaks are 28-30 on the race course.

but formula boards don't have a fast and slow speed really. there is just dredging, full on and then really full on.

Sounds like fun. Maybe one day I may have to get a formula board.
