GPS Unit will not save to card. Put a new SD card in 2 months ago and it worked ok for a while. Last three sessions has not saved data. When ask it to "Save to Card " comes up with message "no card found"
Had set up checked by two people and all ok
Any clues?

I had this problem with my new gps and it turned out to be faulty.
If it is new it could be a warranty issue or you can send it to locosys yourself. They were very helpful and fixed the unit.

I had a simliar issue with my GT-11. I found the card read/write contact points were not making a firm connection with the GT-11's read/write contacts.

I got around it temporarily by making a lump at the end of the card, opposite the points with some glue. This worked for a few months but eventually it stopped. I think the contact points on the GPS had corroded. For the next few years I used the onboard data logging function to record session. This worked well till earlier this year when the whole unit died.

Download your data using the navilink. When I did that last week it downloaded my last four sessions.
Make sure you have the navilink software and locosys USB driver software installed on your computer.

I was hoping for that , but it didn't work.
It only recognised the memory files, but the card was not visible. I had to pull out the card and plug it into the PC. Any advice?

Moby - I think you hit the nail on the head. Have tried saving to card whilst pushing against the SD card and it saved to file and created a new file. Me thinks its time for a new one!
