If you wanna wear it as a wrist watch, you need to use vaseline around all the vulnerable spots, they're not really waterproof. Most of us wear aquapacks, around our biceps.

Are you guys using the Armpac? It seems to be black plastic, not transparent, in the website photo.

Hey guys what would you recomend as a GPS unit that is reliable and affordable (-$250)and is simple enough to do the **** you need it to.

Havn't heard of Navi, is that a brand or short for Navman?, what sort of garmin, is that the fortrex?

Wormy, the Navi is a gps unit from Locosys of Taiwan. "NaviGPS" was a brand name of a company that sold the Locosys unit. They folded so Locosys started marketing the same unit itself calling it "GT-11" and it's bluetooth cousin the "BGT-11". The same unit is sold in Europe branded as "Amaryllo Trip Tracker" by Amaryllo,a gps oriented company based in Holland. But while the units are now sold as GT-11 many continue to call it by it's previous catchy name, "Navi". It has nothing to do with Navman or it's discontinued Navman M300.

The Locosys guys have been REALLY flexible about marketing the unit and have, in conjunction with a bunch of speedsailing boffins, rewritten the software several times to match pretty much what us speedsailing guys have ever wanted in a gps data logger.

Basically it is much better than the Garmin 101/201 and is half the price.
