Here's one of you Jodi How's you're feet

Thanks Firiebob. Feet ok, only couple of cuts on toes, totally worth it. Thanks for getting out there, seeing you shoulder deep pushed me to keep going further out and ended up packing the bra with spare gear and sitting in the water. Really like your photos - well done.

Cam, pity about the wind but from all reports a fun comp enjoyed by all. All your efforts in organising this are deserving of special acknowlegement.

Congrats to Chris as well, Kath is sooo understanding of his jaunts around the planet and the costs involved it's is so nice that he won a weeks holiday he can share with her.

A great week for all involved. In the end the lack of wind wasn't so bad. Met some great people and was good to see our better halves enjoying a week away as well. Thanks again to Cam and Catherine for organising this, you got GI on the map no doubt.

Missing those Sunset Drinks already. What a magic place to meet after a day on the water.

A big thank you to Cameron and Catherine for organising such a great event and their generous hospitality back on the mainland. Fantastic location fantastic sponsors and prizes.

We had a great time and hope to be back again to windsurf in that warm tropical water. Met some lovely people and had a very relaxing time. I really enjoyed my snorkeling on the reef and was amazed at just how much warmer it was up there than down here in SEQ. Great place to spend a week in the middle of winter.

Just have to say a massive THANKS to Cam and Catherine for making this all happen.

Kath and I had a great time up there- very memorable. Without Cam's encouragement, we probably would never have heard of Green Island. So again- big thanks.

Where does he find the energy? On Sunday after a "event decomissioning" mission he was off to work for the late shift, got home ~midnight for bugger-all sleep and was off again crack of dawn on Monday! What a machine.

I'm hanging out for next year. It really is an awesome place to be even if the wind refuses to blow. The water is great, heaps of stuff to see. Snorkelling along with turtles, unbelievable marine life- corals, fish, etc. Plenty of options for kids/elderly and less adventurous types.

The place has a lot of potential for respectable speeds at low tide- just needs a bit more wind than what we had!

Got to meet and hang out with a great bunch of people.

Thanks to everyone who turned up, helped out and supported the event!

This is normal for Mad Cam, I don't know where he found the time to breed

I found in the past that it only took 3mins out of my busy schedule to breed.

BTW-Really disappointed I didn't get up there this year, so all going to plan will bring family next year after hearing Sailpilot's report.

Brrr, back in Tassie after almost two weeks in Cairns. Can't believe how warm it was up there for the middle of winter!!

A big thanks to Cam and Catherine for organising such a successful inaugural event. Despite the lighter winds than anticipated (and forecast), the first 5 days saw pretty much everyone sailing all day with GPS speeds of over 30 knots regularly being achieved!!

It was great to meet up with so many enthusiastic sailors and their partners and to just soak up the sunshine. My wife (Geri) and I really enjoyed the whole trip (especially staying on the Island for a few days) and will definitely be back next year.

Thanks Vando

Ok, so I was a little happy snappy last week and am still trying to cull the pics to something reasonable. You can partially blame my new camera (50D) burst setting and maybe I was a tad delirious experiencing 'all day sunshine' (I am Victorian after all).

Any hoo, I have uploaded a 100 or so random shots to my website - enjoy!

Thanks for feedback guys

The DVDs are ready to go. Wahoo! I am missing addresses for PAUL MACHOLL and ROSS CHRISTMAS. Apologies if you did already provide it...could you pls email me [email protected] or send Seabreeze mess.

There are 1800+ pics, it is a lot to sort through but I really wanted to make sure everyone got ample coverage. The pics are medium resolution and should be able to print up to A4.

If you want high res version just email me the image number. I am also offering discounted prices on professionally edited photos...
6 x 8" (A5)* - $10.00
8 x 12" (A4)* - $20.00
11x14" (A3)* - $30.00
* Sizes are approximate depending on image dimensions.
* +$2.00 postage and handling

Gestalt - Great perspective isn't it? And just works so well with the reef. There was chopper on island conducting tourist scenic flights, so that's all it was - in front seat, with an extra fly by. We would have commissioned chopper for proper photo shoot (which would have resulted in very different shots) if the conditions were on. Very exciting, I love the challenge of shooting from chopper, reeled off about 250 shots in 10mins, I was totally pumped afterwards.
