i'm not sure about the crap choco, ill be sitting back looking in for a while, from my observations about these boards with step's and cutouts (including RRD) the aim is volume placement with flatter rockers narrower tails = smaller fins per sail volume, looking at the board there's a flatter rocker and heaps of V for release( taking the handbrake off) and getting back on the fin much sooner, it isnt a board for me but im sure its designed for the heavy weights , am i wrong or did it say 700 wide and 44knts anyway its a food for thought
"edit" current peak speed on the Monster (which is one hundred liters and 66 wide) says enough. I set a one second peak speed of nearly 44 knots on that given board. It handles any size from 5.5 to 8.5 not bad

One short remark. The boards for sure aren't meant for heavy riders alone. The cross steps support gybing (front X step) and control in gusts (back X step). I dare say any freeracer will love the feeling. John Overmeer, 68 years old,and one of my best sailing buddies, weighs in 60 kilos and experienced control in a way he never experienced before on a board of that given size. Subsequently he reached a speed he never set before on a 100 liter board. I guess time will tell if this is marketing talk or not.

The brain is going full speed trying to work out what's happening on that waterline, very interesting idea.
Thanks Martin and colleagues, for coming up with the GPSSS idea, it has made w/surfing a whole lot more interesting for me personally and I'm sure for many others down under.
Not just for the sailing part but following what you guys in other parts of the world are up to.
