Had the GoPro on and got some footage from out on the water. Also had a GoPro set-up on the beach. Not the best footage, but added some of it to the end of the video. Well done Izaak on your 45.5 knot run and Perks getting 44.5 knots. Also a 2-seocnd PB for Antman! Very windy at times. We need more days like this

Great video. I really miss those wild brutal speed sailing days at the Pit. Glad to see that you still have banks that work.

awesome video Dave, that really captures the brutality of those winds. Great session by all sailors.

great spot ... could do with some more wind :) .....looked like it was a million knots ...whats your estimate on the wind speed?

I'd say it was 35-40 in the stronger gusts that we were sailing in and then a solid 50 knots during the squall when no-one was sailing. Short video form my phone before we rigged, while the tide was still too high to sail the bar, and we were seeing a solid 40 knots on the wind meter:

Here's another video from a few months ago, sailing Stanley in a SW wind on the low tide. Similar wind strength at times. The outer bank was exposed for just a short time and provided some longer runs.
