Thanks to everyone for making us feel very welcome from both Me and Lidsy.

This is what you missed on the Sunday.Most were on 6.6 to 5.5. The Japanese ridder Hajime was on Spottys Mistral 47 with a 6.1, did some great planning tacks on that and his normal board (Ca40) Helps when you anly weight 58kg. Also has a peak speed of 42kt from his last visit to the Pit. Impressed.

Sorry about the wind noise at the start but it does get better. Not sorry about the flat water and the sun shine



SpeedFortnight is still on but with just Daffy and me left doesn,t seem much point. Hopefully more people next year otherwise these types of gathering won,t happen. As one person said "the sailing was good but the social stuff was great" Don,t miss out next year.

Great work Kato. Thank you (and Gary) very much for making me feel very welcome, giving me some "local" knowledge on how to sail at SP. Thoroughly enjoyed our windsurfing chats Kato - the whole social side of Speed Fortnight is great fun. Hopefully next year I can have my gear (and my head!) tuned in better to extract some better speeds. Hopefully see you at LI sometime soon.

Sorry to hear the second week of speed fortnight is being poorly attended. I had expected a new crew to turn up for the second week.

Gotta agree with Rexy. Super quiet last year but this time our place was "Speed Central" and heaps of fun. Really great to meet Gary (plus the worlds coolest dog), Glen and Simon and catch up with Kato (bugger gets me every year with wind direction), Daffy, Matt etc. Bunch of good friends in the Roaches. Plus Millsy and Lyds make it.
Lots of wind directions and strengths, great BBQ's & beers and wicked fun on the go-kart track!!!!

Same as what Milsy, Rexy & Larko said, thanks for a great week. It was good to meet a few of the local legends who made us feel welcome and good to see a few old faces in a different spot.

If anyone has even the remotest interest in speed sailing, Sandy Point is a must see pilgrimage.

Don't worry about the growing dunes kato, I think I vacuumed half of them out of my car today

Was great to catch up with all you NSW crew, and the couple of QLDers who had arrived early in the week. Spewing i could only get there for the 2 days - Monday, then the Sunday.... but too late on Sunday - you'd all packed up!!!
