Or you could do what some of us do... go to the supermarket to get the "zip-lock" sandwich bags -> then tape it to your arm.

Competition started yesterday with a few guys posting 30 kts plus averages in NW to Westerly conditions. WSW to SW today and the dawn patrol led by Shelby, Craig H, John R and Mat R was out to catch the 15-18 knots in the odd gust that came through. Speeds so far in the low to mid 30's.

Thanks for the update. Please keep us posted as I'm sure there are quite a few of us who are keen to take part on a "fly-in Fly-out" basis.

Fingers crossed!

Guys,

Sorry for the lack of info so far. We have had a loss of connectivity due to a faulty phone line so looking for ways to get it sorted out.

Results for Sunday has John Rohrsheim in the lead with 30.54 knots closely followed by Tony Wynhoven with 30.4 knots. More info to follow when we get online properly.

Mat might be able to update us on todays results when they come through.

Mal

Sponsors for the Sandy Point Speed Fornight include Surf Sail in WA, SBT, Gath Helmets, Stuart Bell Sails, Tom Chalko and of course, Caloundra Sailboards.

I would say John's lead could be in trouble...monday is looking very sweet indeed.

To the tide gurus; if, speaking entirely hypothetically, it was windy from WSW at SP on, say, Monday - how do the tides look?

Nah... no good mate. Might as well stay home.

Choco & Vando - look forward to seeing you there I will be doing everything in my power to stay on top - what a novelty - most likely the first and last time I'll ever score higher than Tony Main thing was we climbed up the September rankings a bit in the GPSTC. Won't October be interesting!!
