Learnt a good lesson today sailing with Slowboat, go broader than you dare!!!!!!!

Wind was NW, seemed perfect angle, turned WNW we got off the water, too broad we thought, Slowboat says "C'mon guys this angle is faster!!", we all have a go and we all sailed faster, scarry as hell but definitely faster!!

Lesson sail broader than you think,...... it is faster!!!!!

That happened as well, but we were faster

If I can get back from the orifice in time, else Wednesday looks good for Hardies with SSW forecast

Don't know, but I was taking some advise on broad reach, and cranking upwind to get a good run at it (well good for me anyway) came off a chop/wave and obviously rig wasn't set right, as fin lost traction, so heading broad, board sliding sideways, me trying to drag rear foot around to catch it, thinking, if this grabs,at this angle, caaatapult!!!! an it did I was clever enough to unhook when it started "the side drift all big bugger up" so just a big Elmo bounce
Oh, and did I back off the rig to get it around, not bloody likely, just kept haaaard into it til I did the Elmo
