Hi Raceboarders
I went for two sails today in an 18 knot Nor'easter on the harbour and blew the clews out of BOTH my sails after popping the battens out of a tack.
Any ideas on why this happens or has anyone had it happened to them before? It's got me stumped.

Hi mate, it's a weak point where the Material gets creased while rigging /unrigging. Over time it gets worse and eventually gives way.

That makes sense although the sails didn't have any major creases that I had noticed. Time to upgrade I think!!

Im not sure why happens, but it has happened to a couple of BIC Techno sail before...Pain in arse as you have to replace the whole main panel....I suspect the monofilm is too thin in that area to start with as I have never had happen to a slalom or FW sail...
