Bigger sail of 5.3/5.6 & you should be covered. Flat rock (south of Woolgoolga) can be sailed in NE and SW/S/SE.

As a coffs local, we get good bump and jump onshore waves with med to strong winds for the east coast from sept to feb. 15-25 knots, 1-6 ft swell. Something is a bit special for coffs the NE are stronger hear than up and down the coast for the given forecast.
Predominantly NE to N winds, good spots - park beach (in town coffs, flat top Sth of woolgoolga, plus a couple of others.
The plus for coffs is usually good surf, cooler temps, less crowds and green surrounds to mtb in, dirt bike etc. Plus a schooner of beer isn't going to send you broke like WA.
No windsurf gear if local, if you break something, have to source from Goldcoast or Sydney, not as windy as Geraldton, or as consistent !
Im 90kg, and use a 96/104 litre wave boards and a 100 fsw, 6.3 to 4.8 sails for the year, but mainly use 96L 5.3/5.6 for summer !
worth a change, but I'll be heading to WA for a couple of eeeks for the lancilin classic !!

Thanks all. Pretty light but will take the gear. Don't usually use stuff bigger than 5m. Feedback is appreciated. If waves are good??????

Just got to Coffs today. Only got the Tabou rocket 69 and 7 m & 6 m sails. Where is best?

Might be a day for surfing up there, you could check out diggers or further north like flat rock if you want to
avoid the crowds. Looks like 20 knots N/NE tomorrow you could go out at Park beach and sail south side
of the rock or south of the jetty if you want flat conditions.
Park there will probably be someone out if it's over 15 K, they tend to go north side of rock (X on) and also a
few kiters dragging around.

Tomp is on it, pacific lake today and probably tomorrow also -so looking like a free ride sesh at parkies for sure wind prevailing.
check ..coastalwatch park beach camera for a pretty good indication

Had a quick but fun session south of Parks beach - between the rock and the rock wall. Not real suited on 125 litre Tabou Rocket board but had a crack and loved it!!!!!! Thanks to Gary for pointing out the area to go for the flatish water.
