A fantastic day of racing was had by all last Saturday & a massive thanks to the Marmong crew, especially Geoff & Neville, who set a great course & ran 5 very efficient & successful races for us through the afternoon.
A big congrates to Byron who led the way round his local track, showing us that despite the lack of Formula race time this season, he still has the power & speed off the line to make a dominant territorial claim. Not to diminish however the solid efforts made by Rick Murray, David Howe & Tibor Ferenzcy who kept him honest through the afternoon, pushing him home in every race.
Congratulations to Bruce Healy who won the day in the single lap devision, followed by ‘special guest’ Barry Fawkes & club vice skipper James Fawley, who managed to keep nipping at his heals through the arvo.

With just the Nationals at the end of the month on Botany Bay & the State Titles on Jervis Bay in early February, the remainder of the season is set to be a close competition amongst the top guys in the local fleet, with equal points & a count backs, the only thing separating 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th places in the open fleet & an even closer points score story defining the Free Formula fleet this season.
