Anyone interested in going Raceboard sailing at Kinchant Dam tomorrow (Saturday 25th) with the Sailing Club? Starts at 9am and finishes about 2pm.

Nah, but thanks Brett, since I don't have a race board I think I'll be free riding at Far Beach

Where is Kinchant Dam?? I'm working the weekend but this and Airlie sound like good options! Not toooooo far from Townsville!

Kinchant Dam is about 30 minutes out of Mackay. About same distance from Townsville as Mackay, Near North Eton. Has cheap camping and that is where the sailing club is now getting established. So pickup boats, dinghies, cats and so on as well. Absolutely smoking in a good Northerly or North Easter. Let us know what is on in Townsville. Very willing to travel and go there very often for dinghy and cat racing with the club on the Strand.

Hey Brett, what is it like in a S/E as per today? I've only sailed there once a long time ago, think it was a light S/E and was pretty patchy. Sounds like worth a look in a N or N/E though.

Brett, Gordon, with the SE breeze I will be heading to the beach right now for last of the high tide. Kinchant pretty gusty in a SE from my past experience, but certainly ok with a longboard.
