Hi Guys,

I apologise for raising this subject again as I know this topic has been around the forums over the years. A group of us are heading to Maui in a few weeks. Would like to hear from sailors who have been recently. Any recommendations or places to avoid for renting gear in Maui. Probably sailing Kanaha over Hookipa. Is it necessary to prebook? Cheers.

Pritchard windsurfing.com they deliver to you, or you can pick up from north shore. Plus options for training/lessons with world pro.
All the shops have good late model gear also to hire.
Kanaha and Hooikpa are not the only sailing spots, Kehei also is super windy and can be a good warm up before tackling the waves.
You don't get get 'cover' for your gear if you sail at Hooipkpa as so much gear gets eaten in the rocks, plus i think they don't want tourists sailing the pro break!
Enjoy the trip!
