Peel Island in a northerly?

West end of Peel has an extended area of reef that looks like it would shelter flat water in a northerly/norwest.
It's only about 3.5k from the nearest launch at the east point of Raby Bay about the same as Lota from Wello.

Does anyone sail there? Is it safe or full of fin eating rocks? What's the best tide?

Did you say fin eating rocks or fins eating windsurfers - My step father and others have told me heaps of stories re the SW corner of Peel being shark corner! Not for me.... but you could probably say the same for most of the bay! Good luck!
