Thank's guy's. Finally out of hospital yesterday after a week. Maybe a couple more week's of recovery.
Thank's to Waricle Pete for making me laugh when it was impossible, and hurt like hell.
Can't wait to get back into it.

yes I use to think so. Sailed all winter last year - mostly longboard

this winter I only got our 2 times. Recent winds have coincided with work

really starting to wonder if I can still sail it's been so long between rides

Hopefully won't be long till you're on the water too Pete.
Bloody hard for anybody who Windsurf's to sit still.
Has to be the worst Winter I can remember also.

Well that was a great afternoon at Sandstone, a constant 7m day is perfect there and if you manage to get it over a smaller tide then Sandstone becomes about as good as it gets. Shared the afternoon with Adam, Jeff, Max, Brad and Tony plus a couple of our kiter mates, an excellent start to spring

Another lovely arvo at Sandstone, the wind was a little up and down. Jase joined us from brizzy and Tony, Adam, Pope John and Denis were sailing so it was good to catch up with everyone. I first rigged a 7.5 and the Magic Ride and slogged/planed for a few runs as the wind dropped so I rigged and sailed the GO151 with a 9m sail for a while leaving the other stuff ready to go. Then I decided to de-rig the 7.5 and put the Magic Ride in the car, then the wind got up and was too much for the 9m sail so I de-rigged that and called it a day, then the wind returned to being perfect for the 9m sail and I swore a bit. Nice day though I see the Sandstone Seabreezers Mexican chapter (Mal and Pete) got a sail in at Viccy Point this arvo too, good to hear you boys got out of the house.

Happy Thursday Sandstoners, I was in the office and the palms started bending so whizzed down the beach at Phillip Street and damn it not quite enough water. I gave it an hour and went back down and it was fun as, while it lasted. Great afternoon seabreeze, sideshore conditions on the big Magic Ride with a 7.5m sail until the wind dropped off and I snuck home to cook dinner and avoid trouble

Any takers for the big breeze and rain tomorrow at the usual haunts? Supposed to be 25 plus. Has it been consistent anywhere today? Ready to roll.

Does this help with your career progression? The last of the goats on Moreton Island just blew into the sea.

Nothing to do with being retired, mate. 1.5km to the water is the motivator for me.

You'll get there one day Bones

Sailed with Pope John this morning till I pulled the foot strap insert out of my Magic Ride so it needs to go to sailboard hospital

Looks like I'll be using the big GO across the weekend and will be needing a knee reconstruction by next monday

Well bowls was cancelled yesterday so by 1100 I was on the water at Golden Olden Beach. Bleak and grey with peak of tide from the start, the wind kept at around 18 plus knots and kept swinging around to the east for those cool old drag runs from Gemini to occasionally the rocks at Bulcock. We just have to chop all the vegetation off that island to get the 80's back properly, and from the wild weather this week there is a sunk stinkboat, a nearly mobile sand dredge, and a dragged houseboat interfering with the best angles.
Top speed 28.5 with a 5.5 mostly powered up on my Hawk, an absolutely wonderful day that I still can't believe was shared with only myself until oldskool arrived as I left. Was hoping for a pic if anyone parked there for a while.

It was miserable yesterday, I stayed indoors with the coffee machine and the cat. Fair weather sailor me

Not as rainy here this morning Jase, but still a few showers. Keep an eye on the Redcliffe weather station wind and wait for it to swing away from SW and then you're good to go

Mr Keen, Trev and son and I made the trip north to Sandstone yesterday and joined the locals for a cold wet but windy days sailing. Tony took off across the bay on his new Wally and Brad cracked 31+. The rest of us tried hard but obviously weren't up to it..had a great day as usual, missed Darren- get more betterer sooner Darren! And Jeff and Max were absent. Hung around for the flat water but didn't do any good. Had a massive hi side when I missed the back foot, reminded me of the good old days...couldn't get comfortable on the 110, too big a sail and too small a fin for the chop.
everone left smiling so a good day had by all.

At least Tony and I got wet on Sunday........... Not on the water though. It was hiding under the awning at the Ningi garage, drinking our coffees.
We did rig up, then un-rig again just as the storm hit. Hard core!!!
Where were you Paddles?

At home not being hard core , was there even any wind on Sunday?

The mighty Magic Ride is fixed now, I've gotta recommend Peter Nitschke, he repaired it pretty quick and being at Landsborough it's not too far for me to go too.

It was opportunity lost for me on sunday as I couched it out in front of the GP for the afternoon but Adam and John sailed Sandstone in the gale. Jeff, Max and JV Jonno took the much safer??????? option of attempting to sail Bongaree late when the wind went a bit silly, apparently there was another rescue of an Irvin by the authorities when it became too windy to even water start.

Today was bloody miserable, but Johnny B called so I went over to Sandstone for the high tide. Heaps of east in it so very flat water, but also up and down so I slogged on a 6.5, then slogged on a 7.5, then it came in and I went back and forth from comfortable to overpowered for about 3/4 of an hour and then it dropped off again. Nice day for it
