I thought this is an appropriate channel to both send a general shoutout and also try and track you down Justin!

Long story short I was effectively stuck like a monkey on a sandbank with incoming tide in the middle of the broadwater late arvo Wednesday, after a kite crash & self-rescue (I was kiteboarding) where I lost my board (to the 'the tide' i.e. the wind didn't blow it down to me, rather the tide had other ideas!).

Anyway, while I'm contemplating how much longer I have left to look for my board and appreciate being stranded on a sandback for the first time in my life (it's awesome ;) ), while leaving enough time to self-rescue myself and my kite to shore (somehow between all the moored boats, markers etc) before dusk bullshark primetime, along comes some bloke (can I say 'good ****' on here?) to say "Gday", maybe have a quiet chuckle to himself at my predicament (who wouldn't?). Turns out he's already recovered my board back to shore. What a guy. With a bit of a mix of relief that my board wasn't gone for good, and perhaps a hint of despiration in my request I asked if he could kindly bring it out to me (seeing as he was skilled enough to carry it to shore already).
Seemed a reasonable request he thought, and he's back in <5min with my board.
At this point I'm a stoked monkey, no longer a stranded one..

So Justin, while I may never be able to return the favour 'in kind' (you can't really lose a windsurf board can you?! Lucky for some..); I'll certainly keep an eye out for you (and other water users, particulary of the solo wind-stoked variety).

Thats worth a box if ever anything was.. - so please PM me with your contact details, or I'll try to track you down around Pacific Park area (I think that's where you launched from?).

Cheers! - thats a friendly and welcome introduction to Gold Coast kite/windsurfing camaraderie. (I'm new here).
I look forward to seeing you around. Maybe near that awesome sandbar again? All-aboard our respective vessels next time!..
