Do ya reckon there will be? After a pretty windless week I'm hangin' but from where I sit I'm not all that encouraged. I think the Seabreeze graph is a tad optimistic. Next question, The Train or Vic point for an exploratory adventure, or give up and hope for an Aussie Rules game on tele.

Curt and myself are planning to go to VP tomorrow, from 11am or so. Should be good. Enough wind and high tide should make it good for setting up buoys and do some drag racing.

We might still go to Shearwater today if we see some wind. It would be too late to drive to VP today plus low tide is about at 2 pm.

Can you come to VP tomorrow Nick?

I'll be sailing tomorrow. Thinking about joining you guys at Vic pt, but i've never sailed it before and know nothing. What's the local knowledge re a SE wind, tides, rigging area, booties etc?

Yes, esp when the wind just starts to blow when your reversing the car in.

Steve - Re Vic Pt, Go to Yeo Park off Thompson Street. Then park at the western end to rig on the grass.
Usually best on SE but can vary S to ESE - I prefer high to mid tide say to 1 metre minimum via the tide chart. But others like the lower tide but have to be very careful where you sail as pretty shallow. Most of us wear booties due to the occasional rock and whatever that lurks below.
Might see you there if the wind does come up.
Cheers

Had enough to have the longboard railing at the Lake. Fair bit of east in it.

Had a belter of an afternoon at Redcliffe, met some great people. Looking forward to meeting a few more people and working on my rusty skills.

As Gregew said. It's a little bit tricky to explain where to go at low tide but there are plenty of nice guys around to assist. Come tomorrow and have some fun. Actually I'm thinking we might even sail to speed bank for some flat water runs. It should start to work from about 1pm.
