Here is my first windsurf in over 6 months. Not ideal but great to be back on the water. Nothing special in the video as the standard fin kept letting go over 26 knots on every run. Hope you enjoy.
Great Vid Martin, that fin would be struggling big time to support your evo 6.4. Too small and too freewavey.
Thanks Steve. Funny thing is I don't own any other type of sails or any powerbox fins The board is new so thought I'd throw it on for a test ride anyway. Was nice apart from the fin so will keep my eye out for some better powerbox fins to tune the board up a bit. Felt great to smash on through the chop
29 knots in that chop on a FSW board is hammering, Marty. And a sweet alpha too
Now hunt down some fast free-ride sails. To infinity and beyond
Catch ya.
Hey Marty I've been using freerace sails in my JP FSW board for a while now and it goes surprisingly well. I think many slalom fins would work fine, I've been using Vector freeride, EX and buddy Ian has been using Select S1
Thanks Glenn. Yes I think the board is capable of it just need to find some fins at some stage. I have many Tuttle for the slalom boards but no powerbox Would also like some more freeride / freerace sails so will keep my eye out to what is about as time goes by. Really want to try some NP Hellcats Also have a new JP Allride 106L which I think should be a great allround board. Time will tell
Life Jason. Seem's work and family dictate what I do so very little free time for windsurfing Really hope it's not another 6 months before my next outing Would like to make it back to GB for a go as well with you guys. Magic spot.
