I was working at a house on hedges ave today, this morning the wind was from the south the waves were a good metre or more, direction would have been cross off..... big gaps between waves, peeling perfectly with spray blowing off the tops like i have never seen it here on the coast. Tortured my mind all morning arrrggghh.
Cant wait to pick up the new wave board sfx guys.

Is it possible in a SW? I've been wondering this for years but just assumed the buildings would screw the wind up too much.

Anybody?

Dunno about the surf. I did sail the broadwater years and years ago in a westerly and my bl... stepfather videoed it and used to get it out every so often to have a good laugh at me.....

That was the last time I sailed there in a westerly!!!!

Mermaid never really works well in anything south, I live in mermaid beach, the wind is always far too onshore and you end up sailing not far off parallel to the beach! Trust me I have tried enough times, not saying it isn't possible, it just is not the right angle, works better in a ne.

When summer sea breezes kick in you will find me off Francis st.
