Yep, Brad's correct. 10am meetup will be no good for you guys at Sandstone, you'll need to wait till after 3pm or so for the 6pm high tide. I've been meaning to try Kal Ma Kuta Park in the passage for the low tides. It faces ENE and the beach drops off a bit steeper near the passage boat ramp than either Sandstone or Turner's Camp. But you'll still get a wind shadow if there's too much south in the wind.

Hey guys.. Jinxie Josh and Tim Tam inc. Looking at forecast and tides l stongly suggest red beach. It is shallow on the low and sandy and most likely to be cross onshore making it safe for kids and learners. The strong bribie currents are also much slower being out of main channels. The swells are broken by gilligans island and adjacent shallow shoals giving protecton and somewhere to explore and marker boys will be easily placed . Safety boat can use bongaree boat ramp or possibly carried if small. 100 mt walk to wide sandy beach but at least there is virtually unlimited parking.

No taps or amenities but plenty of privacy close and wide open beach. Pet off lead area right round to woorim so it is whole family orientated. It works from sw to East and even ne due to low trees and wide beach but starts to get cross offshore and flat. Just bring some water and lunch and maybe a sun shelter and stay for the awesome sunset. Jinxie knows the spot and l,ll come for play on my big board and would love to join in and coax my son out.. Cause you lot know how make sailing a blast.

Where did you end up going?
I had to go earlier due to family stuff.
Went to the lookout, not enough wind, but still fun. Called in at Red Beach and Turners a bit after Midday, but couldn't see anyone??
