It now has 2 times more low-end while keeping same high-end. Maneuverability also increased drastically thanks to the membrane which beats general physics. Jokes apart (we all know these are repeated every single year), and although these are great sails, I can tell you what I don't like and why I use other sails.. Look at the sail range www.severnesails.com/sails/blade-pro/ and luff lengths.

That entire range could have been easily designed to fit on one mast - 400cm. Instead you likely need 3. Inability to rig 6.0 on 400cm mast is so last year. :)

Beautiful graphics, the S1 pro 2021 returns as I like it, when available?
Will the window be welded or sewn?
In the meantime I have bought the new Enigma boom, ( to be honest it was my birthday present ), tried it on the Garda lake for three days, I liked it very much, practical, it does not deform, graphically splendid, is so beautiful that I put it on the sofa at home .

These pro sails are in dreamworld for most people.
Luckily, the standard versions are now very good and almost equally as lightweight.

How on earth they sell enough of those pro models to keep making them I don't know. Loss leaders perhaps?

I would say the weight converting to swing weight can be noticeable above 5.5m size. Below not really. I was curious to check the prices.. WOW. Can probably get 3-4 other sails for the price of one membrane. But I bet one membrane sail covers the range of 4

I think you might want to offer your services to Ben S. I recently asked him about the possibility of a 6.2 with 400 mast compatibility and he said it's easier said then done when you are trying to keep the feel and characteristics of a sail the same regardless of it being 4.2 or 6.2 .

I total agree, probably the combo of the future of my dreams will be Mako 84 + Blade pro , I've try Mako 84 last year in MRU ohhhh very nice, in big wave is amazing, never try in onshore conditions.

Test Blade 4.5 2020, I've had 4 days in Garda Lake with this new sails (is my girlfriend's sail ) wind from 18 to 30 knots, choppy water good fro jump and flat water good for speed and jibe, boards Kode Freewave 86L, fins from 26cm to 23cm mode single fin, usually I don't use three fins in Garda Lake. Mast used in the test 370 Severne blu and 370 Severne Red.
That said I am impressed by this sail and also my friends, is super super fast top end speed is impressive, superbe upwind propension, you can hit the chop and fly more high compared to my S1 pro 4.4 2019 and my old Blade pro 5.0 2017. In strong wind is super super stable when the other guys were in 4.2 I was confortable in 4.5, the sail is also a super soft feeling. You can rig the sail as you want and the sail is alway soft and top. In very light wind I feel that is better during pumping membrana materials, but this sail guys is great I really love it.

Been riding Blades from 2016 to 2020, sometimes side by side the same sizes from different years, mostly 3.0 to 4.2.
There was quite a change in feel going from 2016 to 2017 getting softer and lot less twitchy in high winds. But after that, can't really tell the difference that much.

What I have learned with these sails mast is more important than the year of the sail model. In most cases 30cm extension doesn't do it for me. With my near 100kg and mast on near 30cm extension the sail just bends through and it feels like a bag. I have found sweet spots combining my masts with 340 bottom + 370 top or 370 + 400 for example, to have less than 20cm of extension, but not to fill the luff with stick without any extension and if it's sticking out of the top better find a smaller mast.
Sure nice and springy 100% pole makes a difference itself, using Maverx myself. Never felt like going for another mast brand, tried thou.

All in all super nice high wind sails, would take any year after 2016 no problem.
