I've tried the 2017 Manta 88 litre.

A bit bit on the flat side,had to back off it a lot with a 5.5m in 20-30 knots

I much prefer my 100 litre Tabou Speedster for control in strong winds over the Manta 88 litre.

Just a softer ride all round

Patrik 100 litre is another one you might want to try as is the 96 litre Simmer.

I've had 3 sails on my Falcon 89 now and pretty happy with it so far. Fast and handles well in chop. I wrote a few comments in another review thread. I've had 6.0 and 7.3m sails on it and I'm about 96kg

how often do you get to go out in 89 litre board conditions ??
i am an old, heavy-weight weekend warrior and have to take what i can get
even locals who like big winds - have to travel two-three hours to get their kicks
i use a 6.3 on a 124 liter Fanatic BEE LTD in over 20 knot conditions and prefer on-shore for safety and practice
over 25 knots and it's time to watch - for me that is
one time the wind kept getting stronger and stronger
in the end there was one fellow left and we saw smokin' spray and trees fallin'
i'll stay and watch !!!

I love having a sail on small gear, but not slalom gear. Smallest I use is a 4.7, only because someone stole my 4.2m, paired with my 78L FSW I have a lot of fun. Nothing like having a light sail and really manoeuvrable board under foot. This is usually B&J bliss, but I leave out the jump bit as 58 y.o. knees complain.

Plenty
We're a bit spoilt in Western Australia. My 89l board will get plenty of use throughout the year. When the winds a bit lighter it's out with my 113l board. Any lighter and I'll catch up with my chores
