Hi all
looking for honest feedback on the 2026 super hero dlab sails from people actually sailing them.
( I find industry reviews are utterly pointless , they are like asking a prostitute what your performance was like - nobody can seem to be honest due to the nature of the industry ! )
specifically the dlab glued version , is the extended wind range claim per sail genuine , can you really have a smaller quiver 4.2 to 5 m gap ?
any problems with the glued seams failing ?
Are they more early planing or less compared to previous versions ?

I'm very happy with my 2025 models, which apart from the color scheme are identical to 2026 afaik.
Their light weight stands out as soon as you lift up the bag, but also carries through on the water as well. in addition, they're very efficient across their full tuning range, so both with minimal as with maximum downhaul/outhaul. I can therefore agree that they cover a very wide wind range. My quiver is 5.3 - 4.5 and 3.7, and there is probably still some overlap depending on conditions. For instance, I never much liked 3.7s -- too twitchy, too much on/off, either too small or too big..., but the Dlab 3.7 is great.
No issues so far with longevity, though I have to admit that I don't get to sail them as much as I would like.

German Surf magazine ran an interesting test last year comparing the ‘pro’ versions and their regular stable mates. The summary was while there are minor difference in feel and performance, the difference is minimal. I had the first generation of glued SLS super heroes before they rebranded to DLAB and also ran the previous yrs regular stitched Hero’s at the same time. My personal view was for a competent level sailor, unless you want the cachet of the latest tech the difference was negligible

I find that with the carbon or Pro versions that unless you have all of the rig in "Pro " mode then its not worth it. You really need to use the lightest mast and boom etc otherwise its like having F1 Wheels on a crappy old Subaru, you just wouldn't notice the difference and might as well be using the standard sail.

I had the 2025 sls in 4.7 and dlab 4m and found they had a great wind range. Pretty much only used a 4.7 and a 4m for all my sailing . The gap of .7 was fine. .
Also as mentioned the new 2026 sls sails are getting very close to the DLABS in weight and performance and make a good choice and save you quite a few bucks.
