How have you been? Boggy lake 2 just old from the old boggy is sailable. Have been sailing there lately - Saturday 20 - 25 knots it was great fun with a flat section in the middle. Have been off semaphore with my slalom gear a few times now - good for some fun bearaways in the chop and swell - just got home from a after work sail today.

Have also been off north haven - only the once but good when the winter northerlies are around. Goolwa was good but now the lakes have been flooded is growing weed in the shallow parts. Will have to buy a weed fin soon.

A few guys sail the murray mouth - haven't sailed there for a while but keen to ride there when and if boggy is no longer.

Could someone please give me an exact location for the new spot at Boggy Lake and an update on the situation at Goolwa?

I think Canberra, for its population and patchy conditions, has a good sailing community. I was welcomed in quickly three years ago when I arrived, and cannot ever recall a time I sailed alone. On some easterlies there were near on fifteen of us there. Not bad for the lake.

Scotty and yourself yourself really keep the scene alive (I saw you guys teaching kids this summer which this sport really needs more of). Its also great to see Alex charging up through the ranks. I will continue to watch his progress with great interest, and a touch of envy!

I'll be in Germany for three weeks in the middle of the year. I've not looked into it, so I've no idea about the weather or spots, but if I'm lucky, I might get some sailing in.

You're right, those beginner days are ideal for starting to work on some freestyle myself.
