Hi folks - anyone had any experiences sailing around vivonne bay area - is a SE'r dead onshore or is there somewhere around there to sail.
Any info greatly appreciated - not sure whether to just leave the sailing gear home.

Go surfing, SUP'ing, fishing. For an island that stop so much swell hitting Adelaide I reckon its pretty limited for good windsurfing spots. Maybe that's because I'm not a local but I struggled to find them.

Vivonne works in W and SW - side shore.
Have also sailed there in SE but that's side on.
Little Sahara seems to add a few knots of sea breeze.
Take a 6.0 so you can outrun the grey suits and don't fall in out the back!
I would like to check options at D'Estrees - but it is a mission to get in there.
Go surfing if it is N'ly, all the surrounding water seems to kill hot N wind.

No surf or sail pics but I think winter nw'rs would be good. Half the coast inaccessible andcopsheaps of swell still 2-3 foot at bales and Hanson last 2 days when near flat around victor.(by surf report)I'm Sure there are heaps more spots - including on north side in west swell and se wind. Everything closes at 6 but nice place for family trip - locals arepretty friendly too
