A guy came down to me tonight looking for a uni joint.
He had just purchased a 'beginner' board locally. Never windsurfed and naturally full of enthusiasm to get on the water.

The person he purchased the board off said that the board would sink down below water when uphauled and then rise up to the surface as it got going!!!. Board and rig 'sinker' from 1983.
Well there goes another potential windurfer
That gear should be on the tip.

I did tell him about the club boards should ( more like when!) he become frustrated.
Actually it was a old windsurfer from way back , who doesnt windsurf anymore and probably thinks thats still how things are!. Still should have known better as he would of learnt on something a bit more suitable than that!

Good on ya for offering, Anyone else out there willing to offer some help to this poor guy. What that person done to him is wrong. I started out on near 30yo Wayler and I loved it. Just sold it to a likewise vintage enthusiast and now have moved up to slightly newer 15-20yo gear.

If I was in Tas I would be more than welcome to help teach him on what ever vintage gear he has or will have.

Do you know what sort of board it was? what it needed etc other than a Uni joint?

That's no good. Maybe we could sell him the WT BIC Techno cheap? Not a 'learner' board either, but for anyone who is keen they could still learn pretty quick on that I reckon?

Well that's a coincidence, I offered him Damien's car too. Said he wasn't that desperate.
