Congratulations to John for placing equal 5th at the National Wavesailing Titles held at Margaret River last month. Although John was sailing as a Queenslander(his state of birth) he is also considered to be a little bit Tasmanian. John spent many years living at Marrawah dedicating himself to wavesailing, promoting and profiling the awesome sailing spots and eccentric characters in this wonderful state. It was a sad day for the wavesailing community of Tas when John left to settle in Margaret River, his presence and ability to lift others to new heights and challenges has been a turning point for many sailors, myself being at the top of the list.
Well done mate, an awesome result sailing against Aussies elite wavesailors.

I'm still pis#ed I didn't get there, probably a good thing though with only a single elimination it would have been a short day for me.
