Looking like there may be a bit of wind tomorrow, so thinking of coming up for a sail, as not a lot of wind down south. Anyone else from the south keen for a road trip?
There will a good half dozen of the regulars there, plus several still finding their feet from around 11am - great day for everyone to hit the lagoon.
Happy to show you around Dave, will be there most of the day with some East coast guys also making the trip north. Looks like lagoon is the place to be.
Wouldn't hurt to bring a few weed fins if you have them... can sail an upright but theres a bit of ribbon weed about especially in the lagoon at low tide where there is often some good flat water.
With a WNW and a dropping tide it should be a good jumping day at Bell Buoy .....the ramps seem to be at their steepest around half tide.....in the early part of the afternoon, I think.
I think lagoons is the way
Thinking of bringing up my inflatable SUP Bic techno
Might get a spot inflatable record and then have a SUP as well!!!

Great day on the water and good to catch up with some of the Southern guys. Buggered now.
What is really encouraging was the number of riders out there. The more people see the sport, the more that may be encouraged to give it a go.
13 sailors out at Bell Buoy not sure how many at Lagoons....maybe 15 or more?
Great day........... only one real disappointment of the day was Greenie.............. in spite of all his verbal abuse he didn't get one forward..................... Clarky you must be so frustrated with your little mate......................we are
Rob Lakin didn't pull off a forward but pretty sure he pulled his cruciate ligament
Fluro please do not hijack this post it is for real sailors in real s.it conditions we are not interested in your pathetic perfect waist high down the line sailing
It was a great sight at bellbouy with so may on the water. We will not be short on competitors for the bellbouy wave competition planned this year. I also have a good collection of photos on my camera to post but don't have a computer with me. I will post these when I get back to town.... and Hey Houston I counted 15.
Sorry for the delay, but the computer was left at home.
These are some highlight shots from Saturday.
Great shots Gill. I particually like the first one of me going forward (Houston). Love pic No. 6. Hasn't been this crowded since 1997!! Really great to see the numbers growing in all arenas of windsurfing today! Keep it up, and those interested, look at Houston. He's 500 years old, and still going!!!
Yep. Great pic Gill. I actually have a few favourites but the clarity and depth of colour in all of them stands out Who's featuring? Is Geoff on the blue blade, you have the red helmet on another blade? Luka is there. Houston is on....
Nice work Gill,
now the guys down south can see that we did actually get a reasonable sail
Hey Damo did you notice all the wrinkles on the Naish sail.I think they forgot the seamstick when they sewed the batten pockets.Runs right through the sail.
