Hello all!
I am a relatively novice windsurfer looking at doing some windsurfing during my stay in Huonville. Looks like there is a pretty active scene in and around Hobart and was just hoping to get some information on it/ how to get involved, etc. I have had a few holidays in Hood river Oregon and really enjoyed the crowd there so I was excited to find the seabreeze website and would really appreciate any help from you guys!! Also I have gear but I don't think I'll be able to bring it over so any suggestions on renting close to the beach would be great :). Thank you & happy windsurfing :)

Ashley we're a mad bunch but you've probably already worked that out and great to hear you're keen on sailing in Tassie.
Best thing to do is keep an eye out on this forum and you'll soon work out where the best place to sail is on the day.
We're all watching the forecast then someone will post up a suggestion for a certain day then we'll meet. The weather here is very up and down and I doubt it is anything like the consistancy of Hood River but if you are patient and can put up with us you'll get a good sail.

Check out 'About windsufing Tasmania' this might also help

See you on the water somewhere, Ant
