Hi Guys,
As someone who used to live for sailing about ten years ago in Queensland, I'm keen to get back into the swing of things, as I am in a position where work is more flexible.
As such, what are the main sailing spots around Hobart (I'm based in the channel), and which spots are common at which wind directions? Any Lat/Long points of the rigging spots available, rather than just place names, which may have little meaning to me?
Also, what are the primary wind strengths we have down here on the water? I've got a 96l JP wave board, and a 6.6 sail (ezzy infinity). From what I've seen, I'm going to need something a little smaller in the quiver.

Wifigio good to see another sailor on the water.
Most of the sailing spots are around South Arm:
Dorans Rd Lauderdale - NW to SW
Cremorne Lagoon - Seabreezes/southerly/northerly
Goats beach wave riding - NE
Sandpits onshore wave - SW
Long Point, Sandy Bay - Southerly/sea breezes and northerlies
Marion Bay northeasterlies
Dave Morehead lives down your way, I'm sure he knows a few local spots in the channel.
Only names but hope this helps
