You want to do the north south track.
1 guy parks at north gate, everyone else gets a ride to the springs, then it's basically down hill in theory.

That definitely looks like fun and bloody hard work. I'm a down hill man no good going up hill like Fos said some good rides on the mountain leave a car down by the wharf then drive to the top for a two hour downhill over the back through Glenorchy...........now that's cheatin

Bring it on Houston. Its not that down hill if you've tried it. From the cenotaph round trip normally takes me 3hrs

The round trip is a killer if you leave your car at the Springs. We leave the cars at the Brewery and ride up first while we're fresh, then there's all the downhill and nice flat bike track and South Hobart back to the car. With plenty of snicker snacks on the way for me so I can be myself all the way
So Perks & Johnno, Wildside for you in 2016 Looks like you've done half the course.

Kazz we did the Sterling Valley track over Mt Black then up to Montezuma falls and a bit more.
Why 2016 do we look that unco?
Jack was pretty happy to give Perks (well all of us) a towelling on the bike after all the times we cane him on the windsurfer.

Thought it looked like the beginning of the Sterling Valley track. I did Wildside in 2008 & 2010 so it all looks pretty familiar
2016 because they only run Wildside every 2 years.

When I do North South I normally park at the silos carpark at cascades and ride to the springs then through to glenorchy. On the way back I hate riding the boring cycleway on the mtb so I cut across to lenah valley and go up to the top of pottery road. If you take the right track after the boom gate you can ride up a steep track to the top of a fun track called slides. From there you pedal up to another track called tip top which goes around the back of the south Hobart tip. The track pretty much ends at the car!
