Ok it has been a while between sails for most of us (all of us??). Tomorrows forecast is looking promising. Bom forcast:
Saturday 7 June. Derwent Estuary. Winds:
North to northwesterly 5 to 15 knots becoming south to southwesterly 15 to 25 knots in the morning then easing to 5 to 15 knots during the afternoon and evening.
Marion Bay is looking good too if anyone is keen to try it in a SW. I might go there or Dorans. Tide should be good at Marion from late morning.
PS. Make the most of it because next week is not looking good.

Yes, but where?
Has anyone sailed that bay at Penna (N of Midway Pt), drove past it a while ago and thought it looks like it might be good for a S/SW.?

Wind, dont rely on any weather report in winter
go somewhere, stay rigged all day and catch that hour hour if you can.
No wind here at moment, mirror calm. Hopefully something does happen for last minute training for GI team.

Marion Bay forecast has changed and doesn't look good. Can see a wind line at the Iron Pot. Dennes Point is currently 11-15 knots, so hopefully wind is on its way Middleton is also looking good today.

Depends where you went Russ. Middleton was windy but you needed big gear to get out to the wind.

Easty.
i used to sail there when i lived at Midway. ( young boy with big pimples). There was once a access where you could park right on the grassy point.
It was a good spot, but then again everywhere was back in .the day.
